Workshop Objective: This HPCx workshop aims at bringing together professionals whose work or research relies upon storage-related I/O in parallel and distributed systems. This implies various communities, including vendors, system support, developers and researchers in areas as diverse as algorithms, applications, architectures, systems and computational software. We believe that parallel I/O issues will be most effectively addressed by investigating all these areas together inviting all the above communities to share ideas and experiences, and establish cross-disciplinary interactions.
