Speakers will include Paul Madden (University of Edinburgh), Nick Hills (University of Surrey), Gernot Plank (University of Graz) and Peter Knight (UKAEA). There will also be talks from IBM, EPCC and CCLRC. Registration is now open. Gavin will present, in a highly informal manner, a whirlwind tour through EPCC's MPI course, rapidly running through each of the course slides in turn, passing quickly over some and whilst pausing on others. This session is intended to be highly interactive and interruptions are actively encouraged. UK academics can participate as visitors or hosts. Main features of the programme: - Minimal paperwork and bureaucracy - Access to the best high performance computing systems in Europe - Technical support and consultancy - Scientific collaboration with a host researcher - Travel and living expenses - Logistical and administrative support - Open to researchers of postgraduate level and up, in all disciplines - Open to scientists working in all EU and Associated States One of our HPC Europa visitors says: "The HPC-Europa programme gives a possibility to obtain an access to very efficient computational resources, as well as to start or continue collaboration during a relatively short visit. What is more, the application procedure is quite simple." The deadline for applications is 31 August 2006, for visits starting from mid-October 2006.
