This means that the early-use service will come to an end at the same time. However, no one's account will be closed at the moment. You will still be able to log in, but as the projects will have no time, you won't be able to run any jobs. Remember also that we have changed the login names on these projects so that they start with an 'x', as I explained in my last mailing. Six projects have been approved so far by EPSRC for the full service. Four of them correspond to these early-use projects: y001, y002, y003 and y004. If you are a user on one of these projects, you should now apply for an account on your new project. The new project codes are as follows: Old New ------------- y001 e02 y002 e01 y003 e03 y004 e04 You can apply to join one of these projects by logging in to the admin website at https://www.hpcx.ac.uk, and then clicking on the "Request New Account" button. Supply one of the above new project codes. After you have done this, your PI or project manager will have to approve your registration in the usual way. If you have forgotten your password to the admin website, enter your email address when you are asked to log in, and leave the password field blank. It will come up with an error message, and an "Email" button. If you click this, the website will email your password to you. As I said, for the moment your account in the early-use project will continue, so you should move all the files you need across to your new account. In the end the early-use projects will be closed, but I shall mail again before this happens. A final note: some people had requests to register for the early-use service outstanding. We will cause the website to reject these. Our thanks to all who helped us by taking part in the early-use exercise. I hope all goes well with your work on the new service. If you have any problems at all, please get in touch with the HPCx helpdesk at support@hpcx.ac.uk.
