As members of the HPC-UK consortium, the HPCx and CSAR services are collaborating to run a one-day workshop to provide training on the differences between the two systems and hands-on help in porting codes. The course tutors will be experienced members of the CSAR and HPCx staff. It's available now to all users who hold a valid SIESTA licence and have been given access to the SIESTA installation in the past. The executable can be found in the same location as the old executables, which remain available. Users who hold a valid SIESTA licence but who have not been given access yet should contact the helpdesk if they wish to use the software on HPCx. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- GRID TECHNOLOGY SURVEY We are undertaking an on-line survey of users' requirements and plans in the area of Grid technology. You can take part in the survey through HPCx's Admin website - this ensures that only HPCx users take part. To do this: * Go to https://www.hpcx.ac.uk * Login into the website using your email address and password in the usual way * If you can't remember your password, click "Email" and it will send a new password to your registered email address * Find the "Grid Survey" panel and click "Complete" * Complete the survey questions.
